Payment Policy

This Payment Policy governs all financial transactions conducted on or through the AGENTÉ.NG platform, operated by AGENTÉ Technology Ltd.

Effective: July 30, 2026Last updated: July 30, 2026

By using the Platform, all users (Hunters, Agents, Landlords, Agencies, and other participants) agree to comply with this Payment Policy in addition to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1Nature of Platform Payments

AGENTÉ operates a hybrid, monetized PropTech marketplace in which payments may relate to digital access to property demand orders, subscription services, verification processes, premium visibility features, advertising placements, escrow and transaction facilitation services (where applicable), and digital documentation services. AGENTÉ does not operate as a traditional real estate broker; rather, it provides the underlying technology infrastructure that enables interactions and transactions between independent users on the Platform.

2Currency and Payment Methods

All transactions on the Platform are denominated in Nigerian Naira (₦), unless otherwise stated. Users may make payments through approved channels, including debit cards, bank transfers, mobile money (where applicable), integrated payment gateways, AGENTÉ Credits or wallet systems, and other licensed fintech or payment processors. AGENTÉ reserves the right to add, remove, or modify supported payment channels at its discretion.

3AGENTÉ Credits System

The Platform operates a proprietary digital utility system known as AGENTÉ Credits (or Lead Credits), which are used for unlocking Demand Orders (property leads), accessing contact details of Hunters or Agents, initiating premium interactions, and accessing certain high-intent marketplace features. The Credit pricing is dynamically determined based on property value signals, including rental budget, property type, demand urgency, location desirability, and match quality score, with the standard lead unlock cost being approximately 0.1% of annual rent value.

AGENTÉ Credits do not constitute legal tender, are non-interest-bearing, non-transferable outside the Platform, and cannot be exchanged for cash except where expressly approved by AGENTÉ. Credits may also expire after periods of inactivity, be adjusted under promotional campaigns, or be forfeited in the event of policy violations.

4Subscription Payments (Agents & Professional Users)

Agents may subscribe to tiered plans including Basic (free tier with limited access), Professional, Premium, and Enterprise. Subscriptions may be billed on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis, where applicable. Unless cancelled, all subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle, and users remain responsible for managing their renewal settings. Subscription fees are non-refundable once billed and are not subject to proration upon cancellation.

5Lead Access and Marketplace Fees

Agents are required to pay Credits to unlock full Demand Orders, access Hunter contact details, or engage directly with high-value leads, under a pay-per-intent model rather than an advertising or visibility structure. Lead unlocking fees may vary depending on factors such as property demand intensity, geographic location, urgency level, and the Platform’s algorithmic scoring mechanisms.

6Hunter (User) Payments

Hunters may make payments for priority listing services, which allow them to boost the visibility of their Demand Orders, with typical fees ranging from ₦2,500 to ₦10,000 per listing cycle. Hunters may also pay for premium matching services, including faster responses from agents, prioritized matching, and enhanced visibility to verified agents.

7Verification Fees

To maintain platform integrity, users may be required to pay for verification services, including agent verification fees ranging between ₦5,000 and ₦20,000 depending on the selected verification tier. Verification may involve NIN/BVN validation, CAC verification, office verification, and identity authentication. All verification fees are strictly non-refundable once processing has commenced.

8Advertising and Promotional Payments

Third-party and user promotional services on the Platform may include banner advertisements, sponsored listings, featured agent placements, and property promotion campaigns. All advertising fees shall be payable in advance and shall be non-refundable once the relevant campaign or promotion has commenced.

9Transaction Fees (Future Escrow System)

Where AGENTÉ introduces escrow or payment facilitation services, the Platform may charge transaction fees ranging from 1% to 3% on facilitated transactions, including rent payments, caution deposits, legal documentation payments, and other property-related settlements. All payments may be processed through licensed financial institutions and/or regulated fintech partners, and AGENTÉ shall not directly hold customer funds except where permitted under applicable laws and regulations.

10Digital Documentation Services

Users may be charged for e-tenancy agreements; e-deeds of assignment; legal templates; arbitration filing services; and digital signature facilitation. Applicable fees vary based on document complexity, legal jurisdiction, and service level.

11Billing Errors & Disputes

Users must report any billing error within seven (7) days of the transaction date. Upon receipt of a complaint, AGENTÉ may investigate the relevant transaction logs, payment gateway records, and user account activity. Where a billing error is confirmed, AGENTÉ may, at its discretion, issue a refund or apply an appropriate credit adjustment to the affected user’s account.

12Refund Policy

All payments made on the Platform are generally non-refundable and final upon confirmation. However, refunds may be considered in limited circumstances, including cases of duplicate billing, technical failures preventing service delivery, or where required by applicable law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, credits already utilized, subscription fees, verification fees, advertising campaigns already executed, and completed transactions shall remain strictly non-refundable.

13Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Users agree not to initiate unjustified chargebacks or payment reversals in respect of any transactions conducted on the Platform. Where a chargeback is initiated, AGENTÉ reserves the right to suspend account access, freeze any available credits, commence legal recovery proceedings where necessary, and/or permanently ban the affected user from the Platform. AGENTÉ also reserves the right to dispute any chargeback using platform logs, usage records, verification data, and any other relevant transaction evidence.

14Pricing Modifications

AGENTÉ reserves the right to modify its pricing structures, introduce new fees, adjust credit valuation, revise subscription tiers, and implement promotional pricing at its discretion. Any such changes shall take effect upon publication on the Platform or upon notice to users, whichever is applicable.

15Fraud Prevention in Payments

To ensure financial integrity, AGENTÉ may monitor suspicious transactions, block high-risk payments, verify unusual account activity, enforce spending limits, and require additional user verification where necessary.

16Taxes and Statutory Charges

Users shall be solely responsible for the payment of all applicable taxes arising from their use of the Platform, including value-added tax (VAT) where applicable, as well as any other levies or government-imposed charges. AGENTÉ may, where required by applicable law, collect and remit such taxes on behalf of relevant tax authorities.

17Failed or Pending Payments

Where a payment fails, access to paid features may be restricted, credits may not be issued, and transactions may remain pending until successful confirmation. AGENTÉ shall not be liable for any delays or failures arising from banks, payment processors, or network interruptions beyond its reasonable control.

18Security of Payments

AGENTÉ employs industry-standard security safeguards, including encryption protocols, secure payment gateways, tokenized transactions, and fraud detection systems, to protect user data and financial transactions. However, users acknowledge and accept that no system is entirely risk-free and that absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

19User Responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available, verifying transaction details before confirmation, maintaining the confidentiality and security of their payment credentials, and regularly reviewing billing summaries for accuracy.

20Amendments to This Policy

AGENTÉ may update or revise this Payment Policy from time to time at its discretion. Continued use of the Platform after any such updates have been published shall constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
